Waterproof cases and IP67: when do they matter?
Water, dust, sand and unpredictable conditions are part of many working environments.
A waterproof or watertight case can therefore be particularly useful for people who work outdoors, travel frequently or use sensitive equipment.
Photographers, video operators, technicians, drone operators and industrial professionals can all find themselves working in environments where equipment is exposed to moisture, dust or wet surfaces.
In these situations, it is worth checking the technical specifications provided by the manufacturer.
An IP67 rating, for example, defines a specific level of protection against dust and water under the conditions set out by the standard.
So rather than simply asking whether a case is "waterproof", ask:
What level of protection does my work actually require?
